Research show that some pressure is beneficial to our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.
However, like so many things in life; it’s all about getting a good balance and The Right Pressure
At work, we experience increasingly high-pressure environments; we can feel the brain over-load, thymus gland sticking, bones stiffening, muscles, ligaments and tendons ‘freezing’ . . .
So we take ourselves down to the gym and push ourselves to the limit wanting to ensure our body and mind can keep up with the work load.
Too much pressure can effect aspects of our wellbeing, such as confidence, focus, hormonal balance, depression, anxiety, energy levels
In the UK the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) statistics are that:-
A whopping 12.5 million working days were lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2016/17.
In 2009/12 - 44% of that stress was due to workload!
It’s so important to our long term health that we schedule time to relax and rejuvenate!
